Aussie rock legend Jimmy Barnes has taken social media by storm with his latest post, revealing a fit and healthy new look much to the amazement of fans.

The photo that has everyone talking was shared on Facebook by the Working Class Man hitmaker himself, showing him preparing to dig into a healthy and delicious meal.

“The calm before the storm. One of my favourite dinners, corned beef with mash, veg and white sauce,” Barnes wrote alongside the photo.

“It’s lite white sauce in case you’re wondering. A quiet night home with my girl before two shows on the weekend. Be safe on the roads and enjoy your long weekend everyone.”

However, it wasn’t so much the delicious looking food that caught people’s attention but what his healthy choices have done for his appearance with many acknowledging how “fit and healthy” Barnes looked.

“You look better every time I see you. You look amazing, your voice is so beautiful and your incredible guitar skills are out of this world,” one fan commented.

“Looking pretty fit there fulla! I should take a leaf!”

“Looking good Jimmy,” wrote another.

“New hip, new lease of life!”

“Looking very healthy mate.”

“Looking very trim and fit . Go you!”

“You are looking fit & healthy great stuff Jimmy.”

Barnes’ healthy appearance will no doubt come as welcome news to his legion of fans as the singer continues to recover from the hip and back surgery he underwent in 2022.

The procedure forced Barnes to cancel his touring commitments in late 2022 after persistent hip and back pain left him in a state of constant agony.

The singer attributed his health woes to a lifetime of high-energy performances in which he would regularly jump around on stage but claimed that he was committed to addressing the issues in order to continue rocking out for fans.

“I’ve been jumping off PA’s and stomping around stages for nearly 50 years, but it’s finally caught up with me,” Barnes said on social media at the time.

“I’ve had niggling back and hip issues for years, but things suddenly got a lot worse over the last few weeks and I’m now in constant and severe pain.

“As everybody knows, it’s against my religion to blow out gigs but the Doctors tell me I need an operation as soon as possible and it will really limit my movement for a few months.

“As much as it kills me to inconvenience everyone, I have to get this fixed so I can jump around onstage for another 50 years.”

Following his major surgery, Barnes made a committed effort to keep his fans in the loop regarding his recovery while offering his gratitude to fans for their continued support.

“Your on going messages of encouragement have been uplifting, they got me on my feet today!” he wrote on social media during his recovery.
