Lauren Newton has expressed how much she misses her late father Bert Newton, in a touching tribute shared to social media.

Bert passed away on October 30 at age 83 after a long health battle, and was undergoing palliative care at a private clinic in Melbourne when he died. The Australian public and entertainment world mourned the entertainment legend during a state funeral in mid-November.

Lauren shared a photo of her Logie award-winning dad sitting with his three grandchildren alongside the caption, “I miss everything about him, but his smile and the fun we had is at the top of the list. I hope I told him enough how much I loved him. I always felt his love for me and I hope he felt mine.”

“Sending my love and hugs to you and the family, I miss him a lot. I’m always here for you,” said one.

“Love never ends darling. The loss of a father is very hard on a daughter’s heart. Your Dad will be forever proud of you,” said another.

“I am positive that he knew. You kept giving him the grandchildren that he adored. My thoughts are with you all,” added one.

Patti Newton also recently conveyed her grief over the loss of her husband in a touching photo of the couple’s wedding day in 1974. Patti, 76, shared the throwback photo, alongside the caption, “My darling Alb, I will miss you forever. My heart is broken.”
