Fatal Attraction reunion! Glenn Close reunites with Michael Douglas onstage

Glenn Close and Michael Douglas treated fans to a Fatal Attraction reunion at AARP’s 18th Annual Movies for Grownups Awards on Monday night, 32 years after the film’s premiere. The duo famously starred together in the iconic 1987 blockbuster, where they played two lovers embroiled in a twisted affair.

Glenn, 71, was overwhelmed with emotion as she shared a kiss with the 74-year-old actor, who presented her with the Best Actress award for her role in The Wife.

Wearing a vibrant patterned suit, the actress was all smiles as she accepted the prestigious gong at the awards ceremony, which recognises films that resonate with audiences aged 50 and older.

Clearly one of her biggest fans, Michael later took to social media to congratulate his former co-star on her success. Taking to Instagram, he wrote: “Last night I presented my ‘Fatal Attraction’ co-star @glennclosewith the Best Actress Award at the 18th Annual AARP The Magazine’s Movies For Grownup Awards. Congratulations Glenn!!!”

Last month, the pair enjoyed another reunion at the SAG Awards, where Glenn won the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for drama film The Wife.

The talented actress played the role of Joan, who is married to novelist Joe, played by Jonathan Pryce. The film follows her journey as she begins to question her life choices and the sacrifices she has made for her husband throughout their relationship. She starred in the movie alongside her real-life daughter Annie Stark who plays the role of a younger Joan, in flashback scenes.

It comes after Glenn put on a stunning display in a gorgeous floral dress as she attended the 34th Santa Barbara International Film Festival in California at the weekend.

The Fatal Attraction star, who received the Maltin Modern Master Award at the star-studded event, wowed in a floor-length floral frock, looking every bit the leading lady that she is.

The prestigious award is only handed out to the best of the best and was a momentous occasion for Glenn, who has impressed the industry with her versatility and talent throughout her career.
