‘Same age, same blocks’: Edwina Bartholomew passes childhood toys on to daughter

Passing cherished childhood toys down to the next generation is something truly special, and you’ve no doubt handed some of your own old favourites on to your children, grandchildren and perhaps even great grandchildren over the years.

Aussie television star Edwina Bartholomew revealed she has passed some of her own favourite toys down to her eight-month-old daughter Molly this week, as she shared a sweet photograph of the baby girl playing with a retro set of colourful blocks.

The Sunrise presenter posted the adorable photograph of Molly to Instagram on Wednesday, as well as a photograph of herself as a toddler playing with the very same toy.

“Same age. Same blocks. 37 years between photos,” she wrote. “Celebrating eight months of silly songs and wide eyed wonder this week.

“Sitting up. Chit chatting. Growing an impressive comb over. All in a day’s work, Miss Molly.”

“I’m amazed all of the blocks are there!” one user wrote. Another commented: “Love love love this.. My daughter loves the same nostalgia.”

Another said: “Sooo adorable. Miss Molly is definitely a Bartholomew luv [sic]. She’s growing so quickly. How amazing she’s playing with the same blocks.”

Edwina returned to work in June following her maternity leave, just six months after welcoming baby Molly.Viewers were delighted to see her back on the small screen. One wrote : “Lovely to see your happy face back again have missed it.”

Another said: “How lovely to see Eddie back, she’s a breath of fresh air .” While another viewer commented: “Nice to see you again Eddie also hope Molly been good for you.”
