Dolly Parton shares rare photo of shy husband

Dolly Parton has sent fans into a frenzy after dedicating an Instagram post to her famously private husband, Carl Dean.

The throwback photo shows Parton smiling as she holds hands with her husband. The post also hilariously includes what appears to be a photoshopped image of Parton on her husband’s black shirt; a shirt that is also part of her merchandise collection.

The Jolene singer captioned the photo, “Find you a partner who will support you like my Carl Dean does!”.

Fans were quick to convey their excitement at the rare peek of Parton’s reclusive husband.

“Yes!!!!!! such a sweet relationship.”

“Carl Dean is super handsome!”

“You both are blessed, Ms. Dolly!”

“Hahaha the queen of photoshop! Y’all are adorable. I think this may be the first time I’ve seen a picture Carl Dean!”

One fan requested more photos of the famously camera-shy husband.

“How about a current photo of you two, Dolly?”

The couple, who have been married for 55 years, tied the knot in 1966 after meeting in a Nashville laundromat.

Parton addressed her husband’s decision to shun the spotlight in 2020, telling Entertainment Tonight about her privacy-loving husband.

“I know, a lot of people have thought that (he doesn’t exist) through the years because he does not want to be in the spotlight at all,” she said.

“It’s just not who he is. He says, ‘I didn’t choose this world, I chose you, and you chose that world.'”
