A man is fighting for his life following a shooting in Brisbane, while another woman was also rushed to hospital with gunshot wounds, police have confirmed.
Emergency services were called to Goman Street in Sunnybank around 7.20am on Saturday after neighbours reported hearing several gun shots and screaming.
A man and a woman were rushed to hospital with gun shot wounds and Queensland Police have confirmed the man is now in a critical condition, while the woman had “non-life-threatening injuries”.
A man has since been arrested and police added in a statement: “A crime scene has been declared at Goman Street and a secondary crime scene has been established at a Fred Pham Crescent, Doolandella home, where police located and arrested the man a short while ago.

“A vehicle seen leaving the Goman Street address has been located at the Doolandella address and is being examined by police.
“Investigations continue and there is no further information known at this time.”
According to the Brisbane Times, a resident in the area described hearing gun shots before the police were called.
“I heard several shots in a row and some very high pitched screams,” they told the news outlet.
Several QAS units, including High Acuity Response Unit, have attended a significant incident at #SunnybankHills. Three patients are in the process of being transported to various hospitals. Nil further details are available.

Queensland Ambulance has since described it as a “serious incident”, writing on Twitter: “Several QAS units, including High Acuity Response Unit, have attended a significant incident at #SunnybankHills.
