Child porn accused Channel Nine journalist Ben McCormack has been seen in public for the first time since emerging from a mental health treatment facility.

The A Current Affair reporter was rushed to hospital following his arrest in April, missing his first scheduled court appearance as he was apparently too sick to appear.

He was spotted quickly visiting Redfern Police Station, presumably checking in for parole this morning. He was dressed in a tracksuit pants and dark hoodie over a black cap, head down as he left and headed back to his car, listening to his phone through earphones.

Sam Macedone, McCormack’s lawyer told the Daily Mail that McCormack is focusing on his health and abiding his strict bail conditions.

“His health is his major concern and reporting for bail is his other big concern”, Macedone said.

Under the bail conditions, he must not be in the vicinity of playgrounds, schools, child care facilities or anywhere kids are likely to frequent, and he must report for bail twice a week.

McCormack is expected to face court in July, and has not yet entered a plea.
