Aldi is loved by Aussies for its ridiculously low prices and weekly special buys deals that have previously included everything from skiing gear to pancake pans, fridges to gazebos and even surfboards. The discount retailer is now taking on the likes of Kmart, Big W and David Jones with the launch of its dinnerware range.

From Wednesday, July 8 Aldi will be selling a range of ‘Timeless Dining’ products — so if your dinnerware is in need of a style update you might want to think about paying a visit to the cut-price retailer.

Shoppers will be able to get their hands on electronic salt and pepper mills, which are returning to stores after popular demand. The salt and pepper mills automatically grind once turned upside down and come in a range of different colours. And the best part is they’re only $9.99 each!

Aldi’s special buys have become a cult favourite, as dedicated bargain hunters flock to their nearest supermarket each Wednesday and Saturday to snap up the latest offerings before they’re all gone.

Earlier this year the store released a range of ‘Home Care’ products aimed at ageing consumers, including an assisted living toilet suite, which was being sold with free home installation for just $399. Aldi also sold a limited number of motorised armchairs for $299, as well as a folding toilet frame and an adjustable shower stool which only set shoppers back $59.99 and $39.99 respectively.

Also among the special offers were absorbent bed pads, memory foam back support cushions and even a foldable wheelchair, as well as adjustable walking sticks in a range of designs, a rollable walker and an assortment of denture cleaning tablets. There was also a bundle of ‘daily living aids’ on offer for $9.99, which included a key turner, multi jar opener and plastic shoe horn, as well as a handy reacher grabbing device for just $9.99.
