Most people don’t have the time or patience to squeegee the shower glass after each use. So, after a while, we’re left with a cloudy residue that seems almost impossible to remove. But, believe it or not, there is an easy way to clean soap scum off your shower glass.

An Aussie woman sent the Internet into a frenzy recently after she revealed her simple hack for cleaning her shower cubicle, and there’s a chance you already have everything you need at home.

Tara Lee shared her handy tip to the ‘Mums Who Clean’ Facebook group where it got a big thumbs up from fellow members. The woman explained she uses Kmart’s $2 Exfoliating Gloves to make her shower glass sparkle.

“I’m sure everyone knows what these are, but if you don’t, you’re about to learn!” Tara wrote. “They’re SHOWER cleaning gloves!”

“You spray or wipe down your shower with whatever cleaning products you use (I personally like to use Jif), let it sit for five minutes and then scrub with these bad boys! Tried it once and never turned back.

“And yes I did buy myself a new exfoliating glove too,” she added. “You’re welcome ladies!”

The group’s other followers praised the woman for her simple hack, with one person commenting: “I use these for everything! Best thing for washing the horses and dogs too.”

Another said: “Thanks for the tip, I can’t seem to get the glass super clear. I’m so gonna [sic] try this!” While a third wrote: “How has this been jot from me for all these years!”

Meanwhile, one mum said with a bit more elbow grease you can just use plain warm water.

“Here’s another tip — use a bit of elbow grease and you can use just plain warm water (like just after you finish in there) to scrub the shower and then dry it off with an old towel, tea towel or glass cloth,” she explained. “No chemicals needed.

“I also use exfoliating gloves — yes, a different pair — to exfoliate my face rather than use expensive products and it’s so good,” the woman added. “I just use a natural-based gentle cleanser and my exfoliating glove very gently on my skin and it’s so smooth and works a treat.

“Then I throw them in a bra bag with our loofa sponges and pop them in the wash when I wash my towels! Hot wash and air dry and prefect again.”
