It’s fair to say The Brady Bunch was — and still is — one of the most beloved series in TV history. The sitcom saw Mike Brady and his three charming sons Greg, Peter and Bobby start a blended family with Carol and her three blonde daughters Marcia, Jan and Cindy. The new family was joined by Alice Nelson, their sharp-tongued housekeeper.

In a first for a TV show at the time, The Brady Bunch focused on the difficulties of blending two families under one roof, with hilarious and memorable results. The series first aired in 1969 and ran for five years until its final episode on March 8, 1974.

And since we’re huge fans of the show, we’ve decided to take a look at where the cast is now.

Florence Henderson

Sadly Florence Henderson, who played the ever-cheerful Carol, passed away in 2016 aged 82. However, following The Brady Bunch’s success the American actress went on to host her own talk show The Florence Henderson Show, where she discussed Hollywood from an insider’s perspective, and her own cooking show, Who’s Cooking With Florence Henderson.

Robert Reed

It’s safe to say Robert Reed was everyone’s favourite TV dad. He played the quintessential family man in the long-running series. After the show ended, Robert went on to star in the American television miniseries Rich Man, Poor Man, for which he was nominated for an Emmy. He also appeared in a number of other television shows, including Roots and Nurse. Unfortunately Robert died in 1992 at just 59 years of age. His death was initially attributed solely to cancer, however it was later revealed that Robert was HIV positive.

Ann B. Davies

There’s no doubt about it that Ann B. Davies’ character Alice Nelson was one of the most likeable characters on the series thanks to her comedic nature. Davies, who had already made a name for herself in the comedic world by the time she joined the Brady cast thanks to her role in The Bob Cummings Show, played the beloved housekeeper for the show’s stint. After the series ended, Davies appeared in a number of reunions and specials with the Brady cast, but she never took on another acting gig again, instead choosing to devote her time to an Episcopal community. Davies died in 2014 at the age of 88 after suffering a fall.

Maureen McCormick

Maureen McCormick played the beautiful Marcia — the oldest of the Brady girls. Much of the teen angst in the show’s storylines focussed on the enduring jealousy between Marcia and her often-overlooked sister Jan, who famously declared, “Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!” when she became fed up with her sister’s popularity.

Despite the sitcom’s success, Maureen, who’s now 64, struggled largely in her personal life becoming a cocaine addict in the years following the series’ end. In her tell-all memoir Here’s the Story, Maureen wrote: “I had played Marcia Brady for five years. But I wasn’t her in any way, shape or form. She was perfect. I was anything but that.”

Since then, she has appeared on several reality TV series such as CMT’s Gone Country and the Australian version of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.

Barry Williams

Barry Williams, who played the charismatic older brother and teen heartthrob Greg on the popular series, has appeared in a number of reunions and specials with the Brady cast throughout the years. Barry, 66, has also had guest roles on That ’70s Show and Full House. He’s been married three times and has two children.

Eve Plumb

Eve Plumb knows all too well what it feels like to be a middle child as she played the often-overlooked middle daughter Jan in the beloved series. Following the show’s success, Eve made guest appearances on shows like That ’70s Show and Army Wives, and had a reoccurring role on Fudge. She also participated in some of the Brady reunions and specials over the years. More recently, she’s turned her focus to painting. Eve is now 62, married, and living in Laguna Beach, California.

Christopher Knight

After starring as middle son Peter on The Brady Bunch, Christopher, now 63, appeared in a number of television shows, and of course participated in Brady reunions and specials over the years. He also dipped his toes into the reality world for a bit and landed a spot on the American reality television series The Surreal Life from 2003 to 2005. He’s been married four times, most recently to Cara Kokenes in 2016.

Susan Olsen

Susan Olsen played the youngest Brady girl Cindy. Following her Brady years, Susan, 59, like most of her co-stars, participated in Brady reunions and specials. However, following her role as Cindy, she had some trouble breaking into the entertainment industry. She previously told People magazine: “I’d get an audition to play a tough street person or a drug addict. And the response was always, ‘We can’t hire Cindy to play that role’.”

Mike Lookinland

Following the show’s success, Mike Lookinland, who’s now 60 and played the youngest of the Brady boys Bobby, had a pretty rough time with alcoholism. “The problem for me was, I lived my childhood in my 20s,” he said on a 2013 episode of Oprah: Where Are They Now?, adding he then turned to alcohol and drugs for comfort. But he eventually found his feet, married and went on to have two children with his high school sweetheart, People magazine reports. The child star has since turned his efforts to countertop-making.
