Richard Reid, former entertainment reporter on the Today show, has made a shocking claim about Karl Stefanovic’s appearance on I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!
It’s long been rumoured that Karl is going bald, with many news outlets claiming he has been choosing to hide the evidence with hair plugs.
Richard has seemingly confirmed the rumours in a clip from the popular reality show shared by news.com.au, revealing the 44-year-old has been sporting spray-on hair for some time. Speaking to Gogglebox star Angie Kent, the gossip guru said: “So I go into the hair room, and this guy looks up and he’s kinda like balding. It was Karl Stefanovic without his spray-on hair.”
“He has spray-on hair?” a shocked Angie asked.
“Yep, and then he went away and got hair plugs,” he added. “He had one of those six-week vacations and came back with [hair plugs]. And he still used the spray until it filled in.”
“Oh Karlos, bald as an eagle,” Angie replied. “God, he’d be so cross if he knew that was being spread around.”
Richard and Karl worked together on Today until Richard left the show in 2015. While he’s currently a contestant on I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!, he’s also a star on Studio 10.
And while it seems Karl is hiding his baldness, other well-known men are embracing it. American actor John Travolta recently stepped out showing his bald head after years of showing off a seemingly thick and luscious head of hair at public events.

John last month revealed a surprising new look in a photo alongside his daughter Ella, as he wished his fans Happy New Year on Instagram.
He simply wrote: “I hope everyone had a great New Year!”

Instead of his usual thick locks, the Grease actor appears in the image with the slightest hint of scattered grey stubble on his head.
Fans have since praised the star’s bravery in sharing the selfie, with one commenting: “Love it,” while another added: “It’s about time! Love this and love you!”
Hair loss currently impacts around a quarter of men, who shockingly start to go bald around the age of just 25. Meanwhile, four in 10 women have visible hair loss by the time they reach 40.
Karl is set to publicly respond to the claims made by Richard.
