Pierce Brosnan pens touching post for wife’s birthday

Pierce Brosnan may have played a super spy in film but he’s easily a super husband in real life following a sweet message penned for his wife, Keely Shaye Smith, for her 58th birthday.

The 68-year-old actor shared a photo of his wife on Instagram while she enjoyed a health drink: “My beautiful luscious love Keely on her 58th trip around the sun yesterday…apres swim, making coconut water. Happiest of birthdays it was.”

Fans and fellow celebrities alike were quick to comment on the touching tribute, wishing Keely a happy birthday.

Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul said: “Love you two so much.”

Chelsea Handler wrote: “Happy birthday, Keely! you are beautiful!”

One fan commented: “She is so beautiful.”

Another added: “May her year be filled with love and joy.”

It’s not the first time the Bond star has shared a touching tribute for his wife after posting to Instagram in August in celebration of their 20th wedding anniversary.

Pierce’s marriage to Keely, an accomplished journalist, is his second following the death of his first wife Cassandra Harris in 1991, following a battle with ovarian cancer. Pierce was left to carry on as a single father to their three children.

Keely and Pierce married in 2001 after meeting in 1994 and expanded their family welcoming sons Dylan Thomas Brosnan and Paris Becket Brosnan.
