If Nexflix’s Valentine’s Day teaser for Bridgerton season two left you hungry for more, well dear reader, you’re in luck.

The streaming giants have finally released their official full-length trailer for the second season of the Shonda Rhimes hit, and more at more than three minutes long, it offers enough steam and soap to keep fans burning until its official premiere on March 25.

Following the structure of the novels written by author Julia Quinn, the upcoming season focuses on the relationship between Lord Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and his journey to find love.

In the trailer, fans get a glimpse of Anthony’s attempts to find a suitable wife to uphold the Bridgerton family name.

“It is only out of the greatest love of my family that I am to choose a wife with head and not my … heart,” he says.

The drama begins to unfold when Anthony courts new arrival Edwina Sharma (Charitha Chandran) but finds himself having to prove his intentions to her older sister Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley).

“What happens when duty is in conflict with the heart’s true desire? There is potential for considerable scandal, indeed,” says Lady Whistledown in the narration by Julie Andrews.

It’s not long before their rivalry turns into chemistry, the ultimate enemies to lovers’ and love triangle romance, complicating matters for both parties.

“My honour is hanging by a thread that grows more precarious with every moment in your presence,” Anthony seemingly says to Kate.

Bridgerton was a massive success for Netflix, having previously held the record for the streaming site’s largest series debut before Squid Game.

Ahead of its second season, Bailey, 33, hinted to British Vogue that there are “loads of little Easter eggs for all the characters.”

“It’s mad, and it’s brilliant. There are also going to be a lot of brilliant characters introduced in this series — and it’s not just Anthony that we’re going to delve into,” he told the publication last February.

Season 2 of Bridgerton premieres on March 25 on Netflix.
