Magda Szubanski’s Kath & Kim character Sharon Strzelecki is a hugely recognisable face here in Australia, and it’s fair to say, very hard to ever recreate. But the actress’ goddaughter has managed to do just that – and she looked absolutely adorable.
Magda, 57, shared a hilarious video of goddaughter Betty Campbell on Monday, saying the famous Kath & Kim line: “It’s noiceee, It’s unusual.”
Betty, the daughter of singer and television host David Campbell, can be seen dressed up as Sharon in her iconic netball get up. Magda captioned the post: “I give you the future #Sharon Strzelecki… Ms Betty Campbell!!! my goddaughter and, I’ll think you’ll agree, a total Mini Me.”

Fans were quick to comment, with one writing: “She looks so much like you!!!!! A mini Sharon!!” Another added: “This is super cute! I just love the hair.”
Magda explained in the post that Betty had donned the iconic look for her mock funeral at Melbourne Writer’s Festival. The sold-out event took place on Saturday night and was an exploration into what Magda’s funeral would be like.
On Sunday, the actress thanked everyone for attending and taking part in her fake funeral.

It comes after Magda opened up about her late mother in a tell-all chat with Andrew Denton on his show Interview in May. The actress fought back tears as she recalled the past year – one of her most difficult yet – that saw her mourning her mother and celebrating the same-sex marriage vote.
Margaret passed away before the vote was passed, but Magda said she knows her mother would have wanted to see the milestone victory after watching her daughter deal with prejudice throughout her life.
“Seven days, mum took to die. It was brutal, and we don’t talk about that a lot and it’s f**king traumatic watching someone die and I think we should reintroduce black armbands because you’re not normal after someone you love has died,” she told Andrew.
“I wished she’d been here to see the vote. She couldn’t understand it. She often would say to me ‘I don’t understand how people would turn on their own’.”
