Demi Moore rips into ex-husband Bruce Willis in hilarious speech

Hollywood actress Demi Moore had the crowd in stitches on Saturday night as she tore her ex-husband Bruce Willis to shreds during the Comedy Central Roast.

Making fun of his appearance, acting abilities and their relationship that was, the 55-year-old mum of three didn’t hold back as she took to the stage as the surprise act for the evening.

Married to the Die Hard actor for 13 years, Demi was clearly making the most of the experience and opportunity to roast her former partner claiming she looks at their marriage like Bruce’s hit movie The Sixth Sense, famous for the line “I see dead people”. She joked: “You were dead to me the whole time”.

While many probably wish they could humiliate their ex in front of a crowd of thousands, Demi made certainly made the most of the experience cracking joke after joke at Bruce’s expense.

“People wonder why our marriage came to an end, and in all honesty I think it was because some jealously started to creep in. I think Bruce never really got over the fact that I rocked the bald look better than he did,” Demi joked in a reference to her head shave in 1997 for film G.I. Jane.

“I was married to Bruce for the first three Die Hard movies, which makes sense because the last two sucked.”

Even the pair’s children – who were sitting in the crowd – were cracking up with laughter, especially when Demi shone a light on Bruce’s career choices and perhaps not-so successful film roles.

“After our divorce, he said he considered the end of our marriage his biggest failure, but Bruce, don’t be so hard on yourself, you’ve had much bigger failures. I mean Planet Hollywood, Hudson Hawk, Striking Distance, campaigning for Michael Dukakis, turning down Clooney’s role in Ocean’s Eleven to focus on playing the harmonica?” she joked.

Demi, who was first married to Freddy Moore, then later Ashton Kutcher wasn’t harsh throughout the whole roast though and conceded some of the best times of her life were with Bruce before adding he was “easily one of my top three husbands”.

However, Bruce took it all in his stride, praising his ex for her performance and stating it was: “Terrific…very surprising and very cool”.
