Celine Dion is returning to Australia for the first time since 2008, so fans of fab stage outfits and power ballads had better be prepared!
The French-Canadian songstress has announced that she will be bringing her highly-anticipated Celine Dion Live 2018 tour to Australia and New Zealand in July and August, performing at arenas in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Auckland .
Concert promoter Frontier Touring took to Twitter to share the details of the Australian and New Zealand dates.
Soon after, the 49-year-old released an enthusiastic video, telling fans the exciting news. “Can’t wait to see you! Can’t wait to sing for you! We’re going to have a great time,” she continued.

There’d been speculation in recent that the singer would be announcing an Australian tour, given Asian dates had already been confirmed. The tour marks Dion’s first visit to New Zealand in over two decades. But tickets to the show are likely be steep, with the same event in Japan currently on sale for ¥38,500 (A$438).
Last month, the seven-time Grammy winner was forced to cancel seven concerts at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas due to a “lingering cold”. “Celine has been suffering for the past week from congestion and irritation of the vocal chords due to a lingering cold,” her team said on Facebook.
But Celine later shared a photo of herself with British singer Adele, backstage at one of Celine’s recent shows, proving she’s back to great health.
Reassuring fans she’s feeling a lot better, she wrote: “I had a pretty rough time during the last couple of weeks … a lot of people have been hit with cold and flu bugs … but I’m doing much better now. Wasn’t able to do all my shows, but was thrilled that Adele came to one of them”.
