It took just one line from Catherine Zeta-Jones to remind us all how much we miss the late Patrick Swazye and his incredible presence on screen.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the 48-year-old paid tribute to Patrick by sharing a clip of one of the most iconic movie scenes of all time, the final dance from 1987’s Dirty Dancing, which showed Swayze dancing to ‘Time Of My Life’ alongside co-star Jennifer Grey.
The legendary scene and movie, in which he played dance instructor Johnny Castle, propelled the then-unknown actor to stardom, with people still gushing over the movie today, more than 30 years later.
Zeta-Jones wrote: “It’s raining..thunder and lightning. It’s been a bit of a sad week, but this just uplifts me. The late great Patrick Swayze, reminding me, there’s no business like show business. So happy to be part of it.”

It comes after a former Today and Wake Up presenter made a shocking allegation about the late movie star in 2017. Michele Mahone claimed that Swayze, who died of pancreatic cancer in 2009, sexually assaulted her while she was removing his make-up after an interview.
“He grabbed my waist and pulled me in and started kissing me,” she wrote on news.com.au. “I was completely shocked. He wouldn’t let go. His hand moved behind my head, and it was a really forceful kiss.”
However, he was known as a devoted husband who had been married to Niemi for 34 years. The couple, who didn’t have any children, had known each other since she was 14 and he was 18, and were often held up as a rare example of a lasting showbiz marriage.
Having gained fame with appearances in films during the 1980s, Patrick became popular for playing tough guys and romantic lead males, gaining him a wide fan base with female audiences.
During his career he received three Golden Globe Award nominations and was named by People magazine as its Sexiest Man Alive in 1991.
