Fans across Australia and the United Kingdom have loved him for years and it looks like host of The Chase UK Bradley Walsh is set to show in his very own talk show.
According to an exclusive report by British tabloid The Sun, the 58-year-old will front a show called It’s Showtime. The show – which is due to film a pilot next month – is set to feature celebrity guests, games and live music. A source told the publication UK station ITV could run the new show early in 2019.
It is believed the show will be similar to The Jonathan Ross Show. According to the report, Walsh is one of the UK’s top TV earners, taking home a cool £5 million (AU$8.98 million, US$6.5 million) a year.
In addition to his hosting duties on The Chase, the father-of-two appears on the current series of Doctor Who as Graham. Soap fans will also recognise him from his stint as Danny Baldwin on Coronation Street between 2004 and 2006.
On The Chase, Walsh is known for his bubbly personality and for randomly bursting into fits of laughter. Earlier this week, he made headlines after he cried of laughter on a recent episode of the show.
He was left struggling to speak after seeing three answers pop up on his screen during one of the rounds and realised he would need to read out a very naughty answer to Chaser Anne Hegerty and a contestant.

“In 2017, aerialist Erendira Wallenda set a record by dangling from a helicopter over the Niagara Falls by her what?” was the question he had to ask. While it seemed innocent enough, the answer options were anything but, as they read: “Teeth, thumbs, knicker elastic.”
Walsh had tears in his eyes as he fought back hysterical laughter, eventually saying: “It just begs the question what for? Why? That’s a funny old conversation at breakfast ‘guess what I am going to do today, I’m going to dangle myself over the Niagara Falls by my teeth!’”
Similarly, one of the show’s funniest moments was when he had the all-important task of asking a contestant: “In what sport does Fanny Chmeelar compete for Germany?”
Given the name sounds slightly inappropriate, Walsh again burst into laughter. The more he laughed, the more funny the audience and contestant found the moment.
The news of Walsh’s new show comes weeks after British tabloid The Mirror claimed Chaser Anne “The Governess” Hegerty was going to appear on the new series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here in the United Kingdom.

Although ITV hasn’t yet revealed the final line up, it is believed she will be joined in the Australian jungle by Coronation Street star Sair Khan and English football boss Harry Redknapp.
