This morning he was listed as a nominee for Australia’s biggest awards in the television industry and tonight Grant Denyer is thanking his lucky stars he is still alive.
While taking part in a car rally today, the Lake Mountain Sprint in Marysville, his car crashed on stage 12 of the event, around 1.30pm.
Denyer walked away from the crash and was airlifted to Melbourne Hospital as a precaution.
He sustained bruising to his lower back while his co-driver, Dale Moscatt, has a suspected broken leg.
Denyer, from Family Feud and The Great Australian Spelling Bee, was listed as a Gold Logie nominee this morning, competing against last years winner Waleed Aly, Peter Helliar, Rodger Corser, Samuel Johnson and Jessica Marais.
He was also listed in the best presenter category, up against Amanda Keller, Carrie Bickmore, Sarah Harris and again Waleed Aly.
Logie winners will be announced on Sunday, April 23, at Crown Entertainment Complex’s Palladium Room in Melbourne.
