Genius way to peel an orange with no mess

As far as nutritious, delicious, and simple snacks go, a ripe, juicy orange is pretty hard to beat. Did you know that 100 grams of orange contains 88 per cent of your daily vitamin C requirements, and only 47 calories? That’s a pretty amazing snack – especially for fighting off those winter lurgies!

The only problem with them is that they are so darn messy!

And of course the juiciest and most delicious oranges are the messiest, so it’s a bit of a catch 22 situation.

I’m almost certain we’ve all been put off eating an orange at some point by the mess involved in peeling and cutting it up – there must be an easier way.

Luckily, there is! Once you see how easy and mess free it can be to prepare an orange, you’ll never choose the banana or apple again.

All you need to do is slice both ends off the orange, and then make a cut vertically into the centre, through the skin.

After doing this, you’ll be able to open it up, and it will roll open to reveal its segments ready to be devoured as nature intended.
