You didn’t have to be a country lover to enjoy this hit from 1975…

Originally sung by Larry Weiss with little success, this 1975 tune was re-recorded by another artist who made it the popular song it still is today. The singer heard this track while touring in Australia and knew he was onto something – he was right: the song was a hit.

The lyrics tell of survival and making it and that’s what the song did: it took several months to get to the top, where it stayed for 3 weeks on the country charts and 2 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, this week in 1975.

Can you guess what this country classic is?
