Anh Do reduces Rosie Batty to tears

If you missed last week’s episode of Anh’s Brush With Fame, you missed an emotional moment that has all of social media talking.

In the episode, comedian Anh Do sat down with domestic violence campaigner and past Australian of the Year Rosie Batty.

As you would remember, Batty took up the fight against domestic violence after her abusive husband killed her son Luke in a public park.

During the episode, Batty opened up about the fateful day – revealing some emotional details about what she endured.

But there’s one part of the episode that has been moving social media to tears – and it’s all thanks to a special excerpt published by the ABC.

In the video, Anh presents Batty with his gorgeous painting of her – and then tells her to close his eyes while he gives her something else.

“You’ve been through so much and you’ve come out of it and these days you give and you give so much of yourself,” he tells her.

“So last week I had a day off and I painted you a gift.”

What he unveils is a stunning painting of Batty’s son Luke – and her emotional reaction has left many on social media in tears.

With tears in her eyes, Batty tells Anh how beautiful the painting is.

“He was a gorgeous looking kid,” she said.

“It’s really special. It’s really surprised me and I appreciate it. That is so special.

“People keep doing more than you expect. It just humbles you.”

The video has been shared far and wide on social media, including by politicians such as Senator Jacqui Lambie!
