Kurt Russell has been in a happy relationship with Goldie Hawn for more than 35 years, but the romance hasn’t diminished in the slightest. In fact, he’s now praised the beautiful actress for “defying” age stereotypes in the entertainment industry in a rare interview.
The 67-year-old actor opened up on his life behind closed doors in an interview with News Corp’s BW Magazine and shared his thoughts on the differences between men and women and how they’re treated as they age in the spotlight.
Kurt, who now stars in new Netflix movie The Christmas Chronicles, admitted he’s aware that, until recently, many women in movies and TV have been judged by their “looks, their appeal, their sexuality”, which can alter as they get older.
However he said for men, they’re often judged more on their “wisdom” – making ageing in the industry somewhat simpler.

And he praised Goldie for “amazingly defying” all of the stereotypes completely in the loving chat.
“Her energy is incredible, she still looks great, she is in great shape and she is interested in things other than primarily what is going on in this town but every once in a while she ducks her head in and has some fun,” he told the mag.
“I love watching Kate [Hudson, their daughter] come along and have the career she’s had and I am excited for Oliver and Wyatt [their sons] also, who are doing fantastic. We also have one son who is getting his therapy licence. We have three actors and a therapist – I think that is pretty great.”
While the couple have never got married, they have been in a happy and close relationship for more than two decades – sharing their four children together.
Goldie last year revealed to People magazine the secret to her happy relationship with Kurt.

“Love, gratitude, compassion, because sometimes every man or every woman will drive their partner crazy. Family. Fun. Laughs. Sex,” she said. “If you don’t nurture that, and remember, you’re done.”
Meanwhile, they’re often pictured at public events together and in August they looked as smitten as ever as they stepped out for the Wild Wild Country filmmaker toast in California.
Goldie, 72, is no stranger to a bold outfit, and the adored actress showed off her age-defying beauty in a wild embellished blue jumpsuit as she cosied up to her partner of 35 years.
The Birdcage actress styled her blonde locks in her trademark tousled hairdo and kept her makeup to a minimum, which included a soft eyeshadow and pink lipgloss. Meanwhile, Kurt looked dapper in a casual white linen shirt and black trousers for the occasion.
