James Packer ‘to be groomsman at Karl Stefanovic’s lavish wedding’: Report

Karl Stefanovic has been keeping details about his upcoming wedding to Jasmine Yarbrough tightly under wraps for months, but now a friend has reportedly revealed a fresh insight into the big day – even claiming billionaire James Packer will be one of the groomsmen.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald‘s Private Sydney column, the bride will have seven bridesmaids, with many of the friends she went to school with in Brisbane standing by her side.

Meanwhile, the groom will have his two brothers Peter and Tom Stefanovic alongside him, as well as close friend and billionaire Packer – all acting as groomsmen.

Stefanovic and Packer have been close friends for years, with the Today show host reportedly sitting front row at the billionaire’s wedding to Erica Baxter, 41, on the French Riviera in 2007.

Among the guests will reportedly be entertainment star Richard Wilkins and his son Christian, Sylvia Jeffreys and Peter, Shane Warne, Alan Jones and Julie Bishop and her partner David Panton.

However, it’s unclear yet whether Karl’s co-star Georgie Gardner will be attending.

While Jasmine’s parents Cheryl and Bobby will be there for their daughter, PS claims Karl’s mother Jenny will walk him down the aisle before he meets the bride.

Meanwhile, the news outlet reports that the whole extravaganza will spread across three days in sunny Mexico. In fact, Karl himself previously told the Courier Mail: “I’m marrying a Queensland girl, there is going to be a few Queensland elements to the wedding. It’s a really important thing for us.”

While neither Karl nor Jasmine have publicly confirmed their wedding plans, they have been showing off their relationship more in the public eye recently.

Jasmine shared a sweet photo of the couple enjoying a romantic walk together in the NSW town of Griffith recently, as they walked side by side along a walkway surrounded by blossom trees.

Sharing the snap on her Instagram page, Jasmine simply captioned it: “Always by my side.”

They were heaped with praise from adoring fans, as one commented: “Awww you guys are so cute together! I genuinely wish you all the best with your wedding and congrats to you both,” while another added: “Just a beautiful shot just love the blossoms.”
