If you’ve ever tried rice pudding, you’ll understand why everyone is so in love with the mouthwateringly good dish. This meal has been around for years thanks to the array of delicious flavours that it includes. With the classic cinnamon taste paired with plain rice, this dish is super comforting and absolutely perfect for sharing with friends over a cool evening! Now, with the help of the trusty slow-cooker, this dish just became even more appealing. This recipe really is as simple as layering all the ingredients in the bowl of a slow-cooker and leaving it to cook all day until it reaches perfection.

  • 3/4 cup long-grain white rice
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup caster sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tbs butter diced

  1. Lightly grease slow-cooker. Place rice in a colander and rinse thoroughly under cold water. Place into slow-cooker.
  2. Add milk, sugar, cinnamon and salt. Stir well to combine. Sprinkle butter over the top.
  3. Cook, covered, on high for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until rice has completely absorbed the liquid. Serve warm.
