The best feel good movie of all time has been selected…

A 1978 hit film has topped the poll by AXA as the most feel good movie of all time. It has beaten movies such as Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing, the Sound of Music and even Shrek….

Grease

The film is of course Grease, the summer romance story of Danny (John Travolta) and Sandy (Olivia-Newton John).

Two interesting finds from the research were that even adults love children’s animation with Shrek and Toy Story both featuring on the list and that romance and friendship were the two most ‘feel-good’ themes.

Ultimately, overcoming adversity was the common denominator between the films suggesting we’re all suckers for a happy ending!
