About Stephany Evans Steggall

Stephany is the author of several published biographies of Australian authors, including Colin Thiele and Thomas Keneally. She has also written family and institutional histories, including Status and Sugar: A History of the Australian Society of Authors 1963-2013. Stephany went to Ethiopia in 2016 as a volunteer teacher. While living in Addis Ababa, she wrote a 70th anniversary history of the international school: Bingham Academy: Beyond the Gate: 1946 – 2017. After reading about the protest by Ethiopian marathon runner, Feyisa Lilesa, at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, Stephany wrote his story.
