Probus, established in Australia 46 years ago, is a global not-for-profit community organisation with
a volunteer management board. With over 1,450 Clubs in all States and Territories cross Australia,
Probus provides retirees and semi-retires with the opportunity to connect socially and maintain an
active role in their local communities.
Black Dog Ride began in 2009 as a cross-country motorcycle ride to raise awareness of depression,
evolving into a national charity involving thousands of Australians who have raised millions to
promote mental health discussions. It’s primary mission as a health promotion charity is to raise
awareness of depression and suicide prevention.
