About Elizabeth Masters

Words and stories are the heartbeat of life for Liz Masters. As a journalist and health writer for years, she delighted in the quirks of human nature, amazed that folk were willing to share their innermost secrets. Later, delving into history, she discovered stories of the past still rival modern-day scandals. Creating fiction for women’s magazines let her imagination range freely, while writing non-fiction books reined it in. She enjoyed running courses for aspiring writers and, as an editor, helped public servants turn gobbledegook into readable language. Before she scrambled words for a living, Liz savoured work life in all its glory, from laboratory testing to reptile care, ship’s cook to charity fundraiser, waitress to PR person … and more. Throughout it all she hasn’t quite walked on the wild side – just teetered on the edge from time to time.
