About Joseph Bucci
Dr Joseph Bucci, MBBS FRACP FRANZCR, Radiation Oncologist, Waratah Private Hospital, Hurstville, Sydney has
over 25 years’ experience in treatment of cancer and focuses on research related to Quality Assurance in
Brachytherapy, with a particular interest in management of urological malignancies.
Dr Bucci trained in prostate brachytherapy at the British Cancer Agency in Vancouver. Since then, he has held senior
positions at the St George Hospital Cancer Centre and St. George Private Hospital.
A great achievement of Dr Bucci’s was being part of the team that established the first and currently only publicly
funded prostate sede brachytherapy program in NSW.
