The Duchess of Cornwall flew solo on Thursday evening when she hosted a glamorous reception at Buckingham Palace, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of a top literary prize.
Camilla was the picture of elegance, donning a floaty floral frock for the occasion as she welcomed more than 250 guests to the palace in London, to mark 50-years since the Man Booker Prize was founded.
The 70-year-old Duchess is known for her classic sense of style, regularly stepping out in tailored coats and fitted dresses, but she showed off a much more fun look on Thursday as she opted for a semi-sheer floral number paired with her favourite cream-coloured Chanel court shoes.
True to form though the Duchess finished off the look with her signature pearl necklace, selecting a four-strand choker with silver details, giving the look a touch of sophistication, and Camilla wore her hair in its usual coiffed style.

Among Camilla’s guests were 10 former winners of the prestigious prize, including Julian Barnes, who won with his novel The Sense Of An Ending in 2011, and Eleanor Catton, who became the youngest ever winner at the age of 28 when her book The Luminaries helped her to glory in 2013.
The Man Booker Prize is awarded to fiction writers on an annual basis for the best original novel written in the English language and published in the UK, and Camilla has presented the last five Man Booker Prizes.
Thursday’s event marked the start of a weekend of anniversary activities at the Southbank Centre in London, however Camilla was not accompanied by her husband Prince Charles, 70, as the heir to the throne continued his Royal visit to Wales with a trip to Tretower Court, a medieval manor house in Crickhowell.
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall made an unexpected appearance on Australian Masterchef this week, with Camilla revealing the food that her grandparents can not live without and telling judge Gary Mehigant that Charles is a “huge cheese fan” saying “anything to do with cheese he’ll love.”
