Share:

Remember the TV show Diff’rent Strokes from back in the 70s?

How about that iconic theme song?

Well, Alan Thicke, the man behind that iconic tune has died aged 69.

Sadly, according to media reports, Thicke was playing hockey with his 19-year-old son when he started having chest pain and vomiting.

He was taken to hospital and pronounced dead.

Aside from Diff’rent Strokes, you might also remember Thicke as the man behind the theme songs for TV shows including The Facts of Life and The Wheel of Fortune.

He also played the father in 80s sitcom Growing Pains, and appeared on numerous TV shows over the years including The Bold and The Beautiful, The Love Boat, Married.. with Children and Murder, She Wrote.

Thicke is survived by his sons Robin, Brennan and Carter and his wife Tanya.

Such sad news! Are you sad about the number of icons we’ve lost this year?
