How to get the latest iOS update on your iPhone or iPad

Share:

If you are an iPhone holder, it can be confusing when to update the latest software and how often you should be updating. Apple advises us to update regularly so that you don’t miss out on their latest features.

Last week Apple released their iOS 9 software for iPhones and iPads.

We’ve got a few tips to help you stay up to date.

Here is how you can update wirelessly:

1. Before you begin updating, make a backup of your device using iTunes or iCloud. Then, make sure your phone is connected to a power source and Wifi. Next, go to the Setting menu and select General.

2. This will take you to a new page for you to select the Software Update menu.

3. This page will appear on your phone, simple click download and install. At this point a message might pop up asking you to delete apps because you don’t have enough space. Click Continue or Cancel.

If you decide to Continue, iOS will reinstall apps that it removed. Generally updates are quite quick (up to 15 minutes), however if the update is large it can take longer. You might also be prompted to enter your password (this is your Apple ID).
