Princess Mary, made a stylish entrance, as she stepped out in a colourful ensemble at an exclusive party in Seattle, US on Thursday night.

The 46-year-old, who is married to Crown Prince Frederik, stunned in a colourful patterned frock and pointed blue court heels, fittingly held at the newly-opened Nordic Museum.

Her standout frock featured a belted waist and intricate embellishment on the bodice. The V-shaped neckline made the most of one of Mary’s best features – her smooth decolletage.

The mother-of-four completed the ensemble with a small matching clutch, and simple accessories — a silver bracelet and a pair of dangling earrings. Mary wore her hair down in soft bouncy waves, and opted for simple makeup for the occasion.

The Tasmanian-born princess looked to be in high spirits as she mingled with fellow guests including the Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anders Samuelson. The reception was held to celebrate a new US-based nationwide cultural campaign launched by the Danish government.

It’s been a busy week for the royal, who was also spotted in an electric-blue ensemble during a visit to the University of Washington on Friday.

Mary paired her blue coat with an elegant purple midi dress, which featured a simple flower design — a striking pattern that looked eye-catching without being busy in the way a more traditional floral fabric would’ve been. She completed the ensemble with a pair of nude heels and matching bag.

It was the Queen’s first birthday since her husband Prince Henrik passed away in February this year. Henrik was diagnosed with a benign tumour two weeks before his death and had been hospitalised following an illness that began during a visit to Egypt.

The prince battled poor health for years, and was stricken with dementia. He died in his sleep surrounded by family.
