Just Stop Oil protesters have targeted the Royals in their latest stunt, defacing Madame Tussauds’ waxwork of King Charles III in London.

In a video shared on the anti-oil and gas activist group’s Twitter, two protesters are seen crossing the ropes and stripping to display tee-shirts emblazoned with “Just Stop Oil” before slamming chocolate cake into the face of King Charles’ waxwork.

A woman can be heard shouting “Stop!” as the protesters carry out their act of vandalism.

As the audio in the video is muffled, Just Stop Oil named their protesters and shared the message that was being delivered.

The activists said they had set their sights on His Majesty following his withdrawal from the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference, known as COP 27.

The activist’s stunt faced criticism, some pointing out that Charles is a well-known environmentalist himself.

The UK has seen protest activity ramp up recently, only days prior Animal Rebellion took milk from supermarket shelves and poured it across the floor in order to promote a plant-based lifestyle.

The move was slammed for being wasteful, with British media personality Piers Morgan condemning the activists for their questionable efforts.

“You’re not ‘concerned individuals’ – you’re pathetic attention-seeking morons,” he said.
