Queen Elizabeth II has postponed further engagements, rescheduling two virtual audiences that were previously scheduled for today, February 25, according to a spokesperson from Buckingham Palace.

The triple vaxxed monarch, 95, recently tested positive for Covid-19 and has since had to reschedule a number of engagements whilst she recovers at Windsor Castle.

“The two virtual audiences that had previously been scheduled to take place today will now be rescheduled for a later date,” the spokesperson said.

“Her Majesty is continuing with light duties. No other engagements are scheduled for this week.”

A similar statement was issued by the Palace earlier this week after the Queen canceled a number of other virtual engagements amid her battle with Covid-19.

On Sunday, February 20, Buckingham Palace issued a statement explaining that the Queen was experiencing “mild cold-like symptoms” and would continue “to receive medical attention and follow all appropriate guidelines”.

Despite the Queen’s recent canceled engagements, she conducted her weekly call with United Kingdom’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Wednesday, February 23, via telephone.

The Queen is beleived to have contracted the virus from her son, Prince Charles, 73, after he tested positive for Covid-19 for the second time just 10 days earlier on the morning of Thursday, February 10. Charles had visited the Queen just days before testing positive for the virus as confirmed by a source from Buckingham Palace. His wife, Camilla, 74, tested positive soon after.

Royal Editor for Sunrise, Rob Jobson, recently shared with Sunrise hosts David Koch and Natalie Barr that the Queen was being well looked after amid her brush with Covid-19.

“I’ve spoken to a few people saying she’s fine, she’s being very well cared for, there is no cause for alarm,” said Jobson.

“The reality is she has been vaccinated three times and she’s got great doctors around her.”

The virus has reportedly been rife across the royal household.

Last week, Queen Elizabeth joked that she “can’t move” as she entered a royal engagement, mocking her cane and shuffling feet.

The health of the Queen has been a cause for concern for some time now after she canceled a number of engagements in 2021 due to reports of impending health issues and exhaustion. The monarch’s recent diagnosis has only worked to grow fears, with many in anticipation of Prince Charles and Camilla taking the throne.
