Last month it was all about Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex as they carried out a 16-day overseas tour, visiting Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga. But now all eyes are on his father, the Prince of Wales, and the Duchess of Cornwall as they tour Africa together.

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, beamed with delight as she met locals in Ghana on Saturday, as the royal couple were treated to live sporting displays, music and traditional dancing. Camilla even received a traditional blessing from Nii Wolomo, Spiritual Head of the Ga traditional area.

The Duchess of Cornwall looked sensational for the outing, sticking with her tried and trusted style of a beige chiffon tunic, paired with a light pair of loose-fitting flared trousers as she stepped out in the 31 degree heat – a far cry from the cooler climes of the UK at this time of year.

She shaded herself from the scorching midday sun with an elegant parasol and a pair of black wayfarer sunglasses, as she posed for a photograph alongside her husband at an Art, Music, Dance and Youth Exhibition in Jamestown.

Despite the heat, Prince Charles looked his usual dapper self in a pale grey suit, complete with a lilac shirt, patterned tie and a smart pocket square. He also donned a pair of sunglasses, perfectly matching his wife’s look for the day.

The royal couple are completing a nine-day tour of West Africa, which kicked off in the Gambia on Wednesday, celebrating the country’s return to the Commonwealth this year.

After four days in Ghana, they will then head to Nigeria on Tuesday where they will be welcomed by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa. During their visit, their Royal Highnesses will attend a number of events, including an arts festival at the British Council in Lagos to mark the 75th anniversary of the British Council in Nigeria.

Earlier this week, Camilla was credited with bringing the “sparkle” back to Prince Charles’ eye in an intimate magazine article, which gave an inside glimpse at the couple’s marriage like never before.

Having followed them on their royal tour through France and Greece, Vanity Fair writer James Reginato had the chance to watch the royal couple’s chemistry closely – and admitted after seeing how the Duchess of Cornwall engaged with everyone from fans to photographers, he believes she is “constitutionally suited to being Queen”.

He went on to speak to Harry and Meghan’s official wedding photographer, who described Charles and Camilla as like “a young couple in love”, while Camilla’s nephew even contributed and recalled their “genuine, deep-down affection and love”, painting a picture of a couple very much in love.

Are you a fan of the British royal family? Do you like Camilla’s style?
