I don’t know about you but when I am trying to change the batteries in a remote or any household device, I get incredibly meticulous about only throwing out the bad battery. So for example, if I change the TV remote batteries I will only replace one at a time and test it to see if it works so I can squeeze every last bit of power from them. It takes a bit of time and is a little frustrating, however I found out about this awesome tip and it changed everything.

To test if a battery is dead or still has power, simply drop it from a short height. If it just topples over, it is still good and if it bounces, it is dead… It is really that simple!
