Helen Mirren proved she’s still very much a leader in the world of fashion as she stepped out in a bold power suit and killer heels for the memorial service of German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld this week.
The actress, 73, has made a name for herself as a fashion icon over the years and her latest outfit didn’t disappoint, with the black ensemble showing off her incredible figure and confident personality. However, it was her stylish new hair do that really turned heads as she debuted a classy white bob.
Mirren looked sensational in a pair of black pants, a tailored jacket and a high-neck white shirt for her appearance at the event at Grand Palais in Paris, France on Thursday.
The Queen star complimented her look with a bright red lip and a swipe of blush to her cheeks, while the added to the dramatics of the outfit with dark black eyeliner.
Standing tall in black heels, the 73-year-old took to the stage to pay tribute to the designer who passed away in February this year, with a reading from Lagerfeld’s memoir while accompanied by violinist Charlie Siem. The German creative director sadly died at the age of 85 after reportedly battling with pancreatic cancer.
Mirren rarely puts a foot wrong when it comes to red carpet fashion and the Oscar-winning actress got it right once again as she stepped out in green earlier this month.
The Hollywood star looked incredible in the structured frock which featured a statement collar and a floral design, no doubt catching everyone’s eye thanks to its bold emerald colour.
The Calendar Girls star matched her accessories to the coat-style dress, which nipped her in at the waist before falling to her knees in an A-line skirt, opting for a pair of suede kitten heel shoes in the same hue. While she added a touch of glamour to the look with a dazzling selection of emerald and diamond rings and a glamorous pair of statement dangling earrings.
Her statement cropped hair was back to its signature blonde tone, just weeks after Mirren debuted candy pink hair on the Cannes red carpet, and she kept her make-up to a minimum with neutral eyeshadow and a soft pink lip.
Mirren stepped out to attend the relaunch of the Reinvented and Re-imagined Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, in London, alongside other showbiz faces, including her ex-boyfriend Liam Neeson, who looked dapper in a grey suit and navy shirt.
She was also seen chatting to Mary McCartney, who is the daughter of Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney.
