She is renowned for her impeccable sense of style, wowing royal fans around the world with her stunning choice of outfits for every occasion. However Princess Mary’s latest look was a far-cry from her usual appearance as the Danish princess donned a hard hat and hi-vis jacket for her most recent royal engagement.
The Hobart-born crown princess made a trip to the Meyer Turku shipyard on Finland’s west coast, as she continued her official visit in honour of 100 years of diplomatic relations between Denmark and its Nordic neighbour.
Brave Mary, 46, even took a trip to the top of the 130-metre high crane, as she toured the industrial yard and learned about its importance to the country, as well as meeting 10 Danish maritime companies who are seeking to partner with the yard.
Crown Princess Mary was also given a private tour of the cruise ship Mein Schiff 2, which is currently being built on site.

Dressed all in black beneath her royal blue waterproof jacket, Mary ensured she was appropriately dressed for the industrial visit, however her look for the day couldn’t have been further from the glamorous outfits she wore earlier in the trip.
On Thursday, she was photographed wearing a stunning off the shoulder black top paired with a dazzling green skirt, with her dark brown locks hanging in soft curls, as she delivered a speech at a celebratory dinner.
Mary, who has increasingly been taking on more royal responsibilities as she and husband Prince Frederik get closer to ascending the throne, spoke about the importance of friendship and partnership between nations in the region. She told the audience: “Finland and Denmark can be among the pioneers to set an example by advancing cooperation, innovation and synergy in the Nordic region.”

Earlier that day, the princess was pictured out and about in a completely different outfit as she paid a visit to Helsinki’s City Hall, where she met local kindergarten children who were excitedly waving homemade Danish flags as they greeted the Aussie princess.
Mary looked the picture of elegance in a soft-pink trouser suit, sporting wide-legged pants with a matching jacket and an elegant off-white blouse underneath. She completed the look with pretty pink nail polish to match her suit and a pair of pearl earrings.
