It’s been a busy couple of days for the Duchess of Cambridge. Despite being heavily pregnant with her third child, the 36-year-old has sustained her busy schedule for some very important royal engagements.
The first event saw Catherine switching her usual gowns and stunning glamour for a rather sporty outfit. The royal donned joggers and a track suit as she spent the afternoon at Bond Primary School for a couple of hours of fun and sports.
The mother-of-two was at the school to see the results of a recently-launched tennis initiative and happily played with students.
The official Kensington Royal Instagram page shared a snap of Catherine playing a game with an eager young fan. “Today The Duchess of Cambridge visited Bond Primary School to see the work of the @wimbledonfdn Junior Tennis initiative, who provide free tennis coaching and activities to local schools,” the caption read. “The initiative promotes the benefits of physical activity and so far has introduced more than 195,000 children to sport.”
In addition to playing games with the children, she was also happy to have a little cuddle and dish out some high fives.
The world has been on ‘bump watch’ ever since the Palace announced Catherine and Prince William are expecting their third child in April, and there was no hiding her growing baby bump in her casual sports clothes. While she’s mostly kept her growing belly under wraps with large coats and wooly jumpers, it appears the Duchess has finally ‘popped’ as she heads into her third trimester.
Earlier in the day, the Duchess took time to visit sick children at London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital. It was her first visit to the hospital and she spoke of how impressed she was. “Just wanted to say a huge thank you for having me here today,” she said at the event. “It’s been my first trip to Ormond Street Hospital and I’ve been so impressed with everything I’ve seen and the scale of the work that’s going on here.”

She said it was wonderful to have the opportunity to meet so many families and children and that their bravery and courage inspired her. She was seen playing with a young child in one touching photo.

The events come after the Duchess took a much-needed break over the Christmas and New Year period.
