Terri Irwin has revealed she is unlikely to ever date again, admitting she already got her “happily ever after” with her late husband Steve Irwin.

The American-Australian wildlife warrior was reflecting on her love life while promoting the annual Steve Irwin Gala – an event she manages with her children, Bindi and Robert, to raise funds for animal conservation.

Speaking to US Weekly, Terri admitted while there were a lot of wonderful men in the world, none could compare to her late husband.

“I totally got my happily ever after,” she told the publication.

“And while there are a lot of wonderful men in the world, can you see another Steve Irwin? I just can’t. I’d be like, ‘I love that you’re a librarian and the dude decimal system is cool, but I got to go jump a crocodile and do that.’ Forget that.”

The 59 year old joked the only man who could tempt her into dating again was celebrity crush, Russel Crowe.

“I am in love with Russell Crowe desperately, but we all are,” she said.

It is not the first time Terri has opened up about her feelings for Steve, saying she saw him through her family.

“I see Steve and his love for his family all the time. I saw it when Bindi had Grace, I see him in Grace,” she previously told The Courier Mail

“But here’s the thing, you know if Steve were physically here, I probably wouldn’t see Grace for dust. He’d be off with her in his arms showing her all the animals and the trees and the flowers and the sky just like he did with our kids.

“Steve was it for me. That’s just the way it is. I had a big, big love and it was enough to last a lifetime.”

The star-studded Steve Irwin Gala takes place annually in Brisbane and Las Vegas and celebrates the life of the crocodile hunter while raising money for Wildlife Warriors, the charity created in his honour.

The extravaganza celebrates the beloved ‘wildlife warrior’ with roving animals, guest speakers, entertainers and a live auction.

Some of the celebrities who have walked the ‘khaki’ carpet for the gala include Rove McManus and his wife Tasma Walton, and husband and wife-singing-duo Lee and Robbie Kernaghan.

Steve died in 2006 at the age of 44, after encountering a stingray off the coast of Northern Australia.

He left behind widow, Terri, and two children, daughter Bindi, then aged eight and Robert then aged three.
