Prince George has made his family very proud this week, as he was photographed playing in his school football team.

The handsome young royal sported a blue and white striped playing strip, long-sleeved undershirt, high-rise socks, and fluorescent yellow football boots.

He appears to look quite serious, focusing intently on the game as his proud father, The Duke of Cambridge, is seen cheering him on from the sidelines.

Prince William was also pictured smiling widely in a group photo, with the opposing team despite the associated competitiveness of the sport.

His eldest son, Prince George, is well-known by the public for his love for football, regularly supporting Aston Villa games with his father.

In 2017, on young George’s sixth birthday, photos were released of him wearing an England Lioness football jersey, as he lay carefree in the grass.

During a meeting with the heads of the Football Association, the English Football League, and the Premier League, Prince William was filmed saying that George “enjoyed a good weekend football”.

When commenting on a recent Aston Villa’s win, the Duke added: “I wasn’t celebrating, that was the problem, I was sitting with the home fans. George did my celebrating for me.”

Prince William remains the current President of The Football Association which governs association football in England and the Crown dependencies of Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man – the oldest football association in the world.

The Football Association is responsible for carrying out multiple mass competitions, the most well-known being the FA cup.

The Royal family are often pictured at noteworthy sporting events, supporting their country, and celebrating their team’s successes.

As for George’s career in football, we look forward to seeing more of the young royal’s competitive side in the years to come.
