The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have taken to social media to release an adorable family portrait in celebration of Father’s Day in the United Kingdom.
Released to the royal couple’s official social media pages, the touching new snap saw a very proud looking Prince William pose alongside his three young children, Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4.
The royal children were captured mid-laugh, cheeky grins spread across their faces as they enjoyed a touching moment with their beloved dad for his special day.
The now adorably infamous Prince Louis sat happily on his father’s shoulders while Prince William wrapped his long arms around an animated Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
The special photo paid tribute to fathers across the globe with the caption “Wishing a Happy Father’s Day to fathers and grandfathers across the world today!”.
Fans wasted no time commenting with messages of love and adoration for the loved up royal family, praising Prince William as “a lovely good father” and role model.
According to Nine, the touching snap was originally taken last year, 2021, while the royal family were holidaying in Jordan.
Prince William is set to celebrate his 40th birthday tomorrow, June 21. In a special tribute to the Prince for his upcoming milestone 40th birthday, plans for the Prince’s very first solo commemorative coin were released by The Royal Mint on Monday, May 23.
The prestigious £5 will feature a very regal looking Prince William centered in the middle of the coin as he stares off into the distance, or as People describe it, “a three-quarter profile gaze”. The Prince appears to wear a polished collared suit and tie, with his hair brushed back in handsome, professional style.
The engraver of the soon-to-be-released iconic coin, Thomas T. Doherty, described the design as representing a nice “balance” between William’s life as a father and his royal title and responsibility.
