As Princess Catherine continues her recovery following recent abdominal surgery, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are reportedly pulling out all the stops to ensure their mother feels nothing but comfort.
The doting siblings have taken it upon themselves to raise their mother’s spirits during the recovery period.
A royal source disclosed to OK that the young royals have been regaling their mum with stories, serving her tea, and even trying their hand at culinary delights by whipping up homemade soup.
“They’re all going overboard to make sure she feels comfortable. Their house is filled with Kate’s favorite flowers, comfy blankets and pillows, and her go-to snacks,” the source revealed.
“They have been telling Kate stories, bringing tea and making her soup. Charlotte even arranged a spa day.
“She needs to rest, but Kate doesn’t have the heart to turn them away.”
Despite the challenging times, Catherine is finding solace in the simple pleasures of life.
“It’s been a very challenging time,” the insider added.
“She is reading and streaming her guilty-pleasure shows, like Bridgerton and The Kardashians. She’s secretly kind of enjoying the downtime.”
George, Charlotte, and Louis’ doting ways may be doing the trick in helping Catherine recover after it was revealed that she has left Windsor for the first time since her surgery last month, marking a significant step in her recovery journey.
The 42-year-old Princess of Wales is now spending some much-needed downtime at Anmer Hall on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, accompanied by her husband, Prince William, during their children’s school half-term break.
“Catherine is recovering well,” a source told The Daily Mail.
“She was looking forward to a change of scene and will be able to take it easy in Norfolk while the children let off steam with William.”
The Princess’ health woes were revealed to the public when Kensington Palace announced her admission to the private London Clinic on Tuesday, January 16 for abdominal surgery.
“Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to hospital yesterday for planned abdominal surgery. The surgery was successful and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery. Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter,” the statement read.
“The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.
“Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share.
“The Princess of Wales wishes to apologise to all those concerned for the fact that she has to postpone her upcoming engagements. She looks forward to reinstating as many as possible, as soon as possible.”
The public we elated when Kensington Palace officially announced Princess Catherine’s return to the Windsor estate, marking the end of her two-week hospital stay.
“The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery,” Kensington Palace said in a statement at the time.
“She is making good progress.
“The prince and princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at the London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided.
“The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world.”
Despite her recent abdominal surgery, Princess Catherine wasted no time resuming her royal duties.
The royal has reportedly been meticulously planning future engagements and maintaining communication with her team “from her bed”.
