She might be one of the biggest musical stars in the world, regularly wowing fans with her dazzling performances and unbeatable vocals, but that doesn’t mean Celine Dion doesn’t know how to wield a needle and thread.

The 50-year-old singer proved she’s just like everybody else as she shared a photo of herself stitching up a gaping hole in one of her fishnet stockings, as she thanked her mum, Thérèse, 91, for teaching her how to sew.

Sitting in a brown leather chair, the Canadian superstar showed off her jaw-dropping legs, as she hitched up her grey A-line skirt to repair the damage to her raunchy hold-ups.

Celine posted the photo on Instagram on Monday with the caption: “Thank you Mom, you taught me well…- Celine xx”

Celine’s fans were full of praise for the down to earth star, as one wrote: “Moms teach us well. Never know when one needs a needle and thread.” Another commented: “Wow such a humble woman that truly keeps loyal to her roots. So much respect for you.”

While another said: “A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. Way to go girl.”

The ‘My Heart Will Go On’ singer is currently on tour in New Zealand, having completed the Australian leg of her Celine Dion Live tour. She delighted Aussie fans in Melbourne last week when she welcomed ‘You’re The Voice’ legend John Farnham on stage to perform his iconic track with her.

The pair also appeared on Sunday night’s episode of Channel Ten’s The Project as they shared unseen footage of the very moment they met for the first time.

Meeting Celine for the first time, John said: “I don’t know what to say, thank you. To be told that Im a good singer by one of the best singers in the world.”

To which she replied: “You’re not a good singer, you are the voice. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me the privilege, the unique chance to sing with you.”

The talented pair then burst into an impromptu rendition of John’s legendary track, as they prepared to take to the stage together, before thanking The Project presenter Lisa Wilkinson for making the duet happen.
