After a two-year hiatus the TV Week Logie Awards, Australia’s biggest television award night, has finally returned.
As the celebrities started to arrive and walk the red carpet, on Sunday, June 19, it was clear that old Hollywood glamour and racy attire were the themes for this year’s looks, and if there was anyone who knows how to rock red carpet glamour, it was Logie Hall of Famer, Kerri-Anne Kennerley.
All eyes were on the 68-year-old’s red carpet arrival as she showed up wearing a jaw-dropping, all-white gown.
The Australian television icon opted for a mermaid-style, white gown that covered her decolletage but hugged her curves in all the right places as she walked the red carpet.
While the dress itself was minimalistic, Kennerley raised her arms confidently to show off her dress’ dramatic sleeves, which swept the floor and featured a white featured trimming.
For makeup, the former Studio 10 panellist went for a bronzy glamourous look. Her eyebrows were perfectly shaped, lashes dark and circled, as she gave photographers a glossy-lipped smile, while her blush and highlight gave her a glowy, sunkissed look.
Kennerley also wore her blonde, shoulder-length hair down and in soft waves- really pulling her look together.
This wouldn’t be the first time Kennerley made jaws drop with a red carpet look. Back in 2021, the TV personality posed up a storm with a daring retro look that channelled her inner disco queen for the red carpet premiere of No Time To Die in Sydney.
Kennerley is well known as the host of the daytime variety show Midday which earned her three Gold Logie nominations and admission to the TV Week Logie Hall of Fame, making her the third woman in history to ever receive that honour.
“I’ve never had a Logie full stop, so it’s like naught to hundred. It sort of dawns on you as you walk in and you see people you’ve worked with on and off for years, this beautiful flood of faces,” Kennerley had remarked.
Each year TV Week awards two Golden Logies: one for the most popular TV personality and the second to an inductee to their Hall of Fame.
Kennerley’s admission to the Hall of Fame has marked her as one of the most influential TV personalities in Australia, next to legends such as Graham Kennedy, Paul Hogan, Brian Henderson and the late John Clarke.
Sunday’s Logies marked the first time the award night was hosted since 2019 when the Covid-19 pandemic forced the event to be put on hold.
