A tearful Sharon Stone thanks fans for their support following brother’s death

In a heartbreaking video posted to social media, Sharon Stone has detailed her “immeasurable grief” over the loss of her brother Patrick.

Representatives from the Pennsylvania coroner’s office told TMZ that Patrick’s death was caused by a sudden cardiac arrest due to heart disease.

As Stone mourns the death of her brother, the 64-year-old took to Instagram to thank fans for their “love and support” while fighting back tears over the “tremendous amount of loss” her family has endured.

“Hello everybody, this message is to confirm that, yes, we did lose my brother, Patrick Joseph Stone, to a heart attack yesterday,” she said.

“Yes, he is the man who was the father to River who we lost… at 11 months old.

“He is survived by his wife Tasha and his son Hunter and his daughter Cailee.

“Like any family, we thank you for your love and support in this time of immeasurable grief and we appreciate all of your condolences.

“Yes we’ve had a tremendous amount of loss in these last couple of years, as so many of you also have.

“I thank you very much for the love and support that you’re showing us and we just ask you to continue to be kind. Thank you.”

Following Stone’s emotional tribute to her late brother, fellow celebrities and fans alike took to her post to offer their condolences.

Grease star John Travolta was among the first to offer their well wishes.

“Dearest Sharon, I’m so sorry for your loss. I do understand very well what you’re going through. With love -JT,” Travolta wrote.

Fellow actress Milla Jovovich shared that her thoughts were with Stone’s family.

“Wow mama. I’m so sorry. Will be thinking of you and your family during this nightmare you’re going through. Sending you so much love,” she said.

Academy Award winner Hilary Swank also offered her “deepest condolences” to Stone’s “entire family”.

“Godspeed Patrick, and deepest condolences to you and your entire family,” Swank said.

“I love you you so much. Sending love to you and Kelly, mom and whole family,” another wrote.

“Oh Sharon. I’m so sorry I can hear the loss and love in your voice. Sending you my heart, condolences and as much love as you’re able to take. Love you my friend.”

Partick’s wife, Tasha Stone, also previously spoke of the devastating news on social media, revealing the she now feels lost without her “best friend”.

“My heart feels like it’s been ripped out of my chest. Patrick went to be with our sweet River around 3:30 this morning,” Tasha began.

“He gave me 3 beautiful children that he loved and adored.

“He made sure to make it a point to let me know how much he loved me and how much I meant to him… I knew the very first day that I saw him that I was going to marry him. I felt an immediate connection to him and for 20 years we drove each other absolutely crazy but we also loved each other so deeply.

“I feel lost without my best friend. I wanted a lifetime with him and even though 20 years is a long time it wasn’t enough time. He was my soul mate.

“I’m not sure what life is supposed to look like without my husband by my side and quite honestly I don’t want to, but I will of coarse.”

“Go hunting and fishing everyday. That’s where you always felt safest and closest to God. I’m not ready and I don’t want to say goodbye. I want to do this life with you. I’ll always love you,” she concluded.

Patrick’s passing comes nearly two years after the death of his son, River, who died on August 2021 due to total organ failure, he was only 11 months old.

Patrick is survived by his wife Tasha and their children Kaylee and Hunter.
