The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stunned crowds as they joined the Queen for the opening day of Royal Ascot. It’s the first time Meghan has attended the annual event, which began in 1768.
Meghan looked incredible in an elegant white dress by French fashion house Givenchy, meanwhile Prince Harry looked dapper in top and tails. The ultra-modern frock featured an edgy asymmetrical hemline — a stark contrast to the sea of pastel-coloured dresses on show. The duchess paired the ensemble with a statement black-and-white hat from Philip Treacy — and black stiletto heels.
Givenchy is quickly becoming the Meghan’s go-to designer and last week dressed her for her first official outing with the Queen in Cheshire.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were pictured smiling as they arrived in a horse-drawn carriage alongside the Count and Countess of Wessex. Their appearance at the eagerly anticipated race event came hours after Kensington Palace announced that their first official overseas trip as a couple would be to Dublin, in July.
The couple were followed by the Queen, wearing a bright yellow suit and matching hat, who was accompanied by her daughter, Princess Anne.

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall were also spotted arriving at Royal Ascot with Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice travelling in another carriage, after.
Missing from the royal family was Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall, who announced the birth of their second child earlier today.
Prince William, meanwhile, was busy on royal engagements, opening James’ Palace — a mental health centre offering support for men — and speaking at The Business Fest in Liverpool.
