She’s never been afraid to raise a few eyebrows, and this weekend Sarah Ferguson did just that when she donned her favourite clingy red dress for the third time in six months.
While most fashionistas wouldn’t be caught dead in the same outfit they walked the red carpet in weeks earlier, Sarah has rightly so put her best foot forward and made most of what is no doubt an expensive gown.
The Duchess of York, 58, was pictured looking ravishing in the fitted frock at the Filming Italy Sardegna Festival in Cagliari, Italy, where she joined film industry elites for the glitzy event.
While the duchess has previously chosen to pair the glamorous gown with simple accessories, she mixed things up a bit this time with a gorgeous multi-coloured clutch and gold drop earrings.
Fergie was previously pictured wearing the same dress when she stepped out with her daughter Princess Beatrice, 29, at the British Heart Foundations Beating Hearts Ball in early February.
The royal duo appeared to have a ball as they posed for photographers on the red carpet for their mummy-daughter date night, mixing fun with charity as the royals so often do.
The duchess drew plenty of admiring looks thanks to the well-fitting gown, which nips in at the waist to show off her slimmed-down figure, and must have been feeling pretty confident as she stepped out again in the show-stopping number just three weeks later – this time for a charity event in Texas, USA.
Fergie has endured a well-document battle with her weight over the years and even became a Weight Watchers ambassador in the 1990s in an effort to get her health under control. She appears to have found a happy balance now though and has been sporting her toned figure for several years.
She made headlines in May when she arrived at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding in a tight navy-and-pink ensemble that showed off her shrinking waist, complete with stylish gloves and hat.
Royal fans were delighted Prince Harry’s aunt had made the invite list after months of speculation she would be shafted because she was no longer technically a member of the royal family.
Fergie famously fell out with senior royals, including the Queen and Prince Philip, after her divorce from Prince Andrew in 1996. A series of public gaffes, including one in which she was caught trying to sell face-to-face time between influential businessmen and her ex-husband, saw her ostracised from the family for years.
She has, however, reportedly maintained a relationship with Prince Harry and Prince William, who are close with her daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
Prior to the wedding it was reported that Harry’s tight-knit friendship with his cousins was the catalyst for Fergie’s invite, as he didn’t want to disrespect Beatrice and Eugenie by leaving their mother out of the historic day.
